Caly is about color! She pushes watercolor to the limit in creating expressionistic yet realistic paintings of horses, wildlife and domestic animals. Using the beauty and physical integrity of the subjects, her use of kaleidoscopic color takes the viewer into new concepts of animal imagery.
Caly’s primary focus and love for drawing horses, farm animals and barns is inspired partially by her life with her husband Ron on their beef cattle ranch in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley.
She has been involved in many varied art forms throughout her life. Her degree in Fine Arts is from Cal. State University Northridge where she studied drawing, oil painting, print making, ceramics, as well as music.
