Art has always been my passion. From little up I have always drawn pictures, starting with crayons and moving next to graphite pencil. Oil painting was my next endeavor until I had to find a medium I could pick up and put down on a moment's notice. I then started doing pen and ink on scratchboard. People complain that the drawings needed color. Scratchboard doesn’t lend itself well to color. I then discovered colored pencil, which I have been doing ever since.
I usually use three-ply Bristol board and do a large variety of subjects. The subjects that I pick have to motivate me to draw them; if I can’t get a feeling from them, I usually won’t do them. I usually have to want to do them, so I very seldom do commissions.
