Artist's Statement

Dee’s primary focus is in still life subjects, but she also enjoys painting portraits, and landscapes. Preferring realism in her style of work, she paints in a “chiaroscuro” style which uses contrast and a dramatic and strong source of light to bring a viewers attention into the paintings center of interest. Her attention to detail is matched only by her intuitive use of color.

Capturing beauty from everyday life is her passion.
