Artist's Statement

My husband and I are re-enactors with Mojave Muleskinners, I am especially there for my photography and artwork material, I often come up with something I can put on canvas, I work in pastels and oil, acrylics.

I am just now being able to devote full time to my artwork, having worked for 30 years as a hairdresser. Living back in Bakersfield Ca. where my roots are, although born in Okla. City, my Dad heavily influenced me toward the cowboy art, plus my uncles, they were all cowboys.

Mostly self taught, having taken classes from Clayton Rippey in Bakersfield, Ken Auster in Laguna Beach and several credits in college classes in art.

"Chief"

This is a pastel of a friend , who goes by the name of "Chief" Reymundo Corral. His Grandfather was Chief of the Yacqui Indian nation in New Mexico.

This has also been sold, but limited edition prints are available on watercolor paper.

""Duel of the Border Renegades"

My husband and I are re-enactors with the Mojave muleskinners and Duel was in the midst of a train robbery……I caught him in action—thought he would make a wonderful painting.

The original was sold but I have signed and limited edition giclee prints on watercolor paper or canvas available, 16x20 or 18x24.
