Artist's Statement |
|
Western life in its variety holds a special fascination for Jackie Penner. Her paintings reflect the strength of her feelings for the wildlife, people and landscape of the true west. Her farm in southeastern Washington has given this self-taught artist the perfect subject matter to work from, with both wild and domestic animals living in her back yard and surrounding farm land.
Penner’s goal for her work is to relay her feelings for her subjects to the viewer.
